Web Design Bangkok Portfolio

Over the last decade we've worked on numerous assignments, large and small, for clients operating across a broad spectrum of industries. While our main focus is on web design and development, we also manage SEO, logo design and bespoke software solutions. Listed below is a brief summary of website design projects we've managed on behalf of clients in Bangkok, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Longbone Menswear (Sep 2017)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Manage bilingual content

Custom-design CMS (content management system) and internal messaging system

E-commerce integration with GoPay

SSL certificates issued by "Let's Encrypt", an open source Certificate Authority sponsored by Google and Facebook

Facebook login integration

Longbone Menswear is a fashion store founded by a producer at TV Nova, the leading television company in the Czech Republic. The website is bilingual (English and Czech) and allows users to create personalized, high-quality T-shirts. TV Nova managed the site's videos and product photography.

An interesting feature of this website is the internal messaging system that allows site administrators to chat to registered users and respond to questions from potential buyers. E-commerce integration is with GoPay, a provider that offers secure, inline checkout services to companies registered in the Czech Republic.

Pinnacle Marine (Apr 2017)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Custom-design CMS to accommodate multiple photo uploads and video embedding

Design and program an API to facilitate file sharing between Thailand and New Zealand sites

Photoshop all images (supplied by the company's dealers) for use in slideshows

Pinnacle Marine Thailand is a division of Pinnacle Marine New Zealand, a yacht brokerage specializing in new and used boats, and maintains offices in Bangkok and at Ocean Marina, Pattaya. The company partners with several industry-leading brands, including Elan and Impression Yachts, and Monterey Boats. The New Zealand branch is the country's only appointed dealer for Azimut, one of the world's première yacht designers.

Website Design Bangkok

Photographs for the website's slideshows and photo galleries were provided by Pinnacle Marine's partners and the quality is generally very good; photos of pre-owned boats were sourced and uploaded by company staff. A custom-coded content management system enables site administrators to add, edit and delete listings. Multiple photo uploads are possible, as is the option to embed videos.

ISO 9001 Council (Re-design: October 2017)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Logo design and refinement

Usability testing: survey forum members to assess design and ease of use

Develop admin tools for forum admin

This website is currently being re-designed. The ISO 9001 Council in Switzerland is a non-profit organization offering information about the international standard, ISO 9001. The Council has a global membership and has assisted companies in more than 20 countries to achieve full ISO 9001 certification. The website features long, detailed sections describing ISO 9001, its revisions and the documentation required to achieve certification; membership areas allow registered users access to case studies and a moderated forum.

Web Design Bangkok

AB Website Design Bangkok was hired by the Council in 2010 to design a formal, corporate-looking website to serve the needs of members worldwide. In 2016 the Council requested a responsive design that would adapt to tablets and smartphones. The current re-design should be finished by November 2017.

Teibto (June 2016)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Custom-design CMS

Operating from offices in Bangkok and Singapore, Teibto partners with NetSuite and BlackLine, global leaders in cloud-hosted business management software. Teibto is Thailand's #1 NetSuite Solution provider, the country's only tax-certified NetSuite partner, and in 2016 was voted NetSuite Partner of the Year.

The Teibto website is a large, business-oriented design, rich in marketing collateral, photo-imagery and custom-made icons. The news section is managed by the client (via a CMS) and features a comprehensive selection of articles, videos and PDF files. Images for the site's home page slideshow were sourced from a stock photo library.

SKJ Ancient Beadart (Re-coded: Dec 2015)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Custom-design CMS

E-commerce integration with PayPal

SKJ Ancient Beadart is part of a network of family businesses specializing in old, ancient and antique beads. This e-commerce website represents the company's interests in Thailand and Japan, and is one of the largest of its kind on the internet.

An interesting feature of this website is that when viewed at full width (on a PC, for example) there are two different styles of presentation: items in the Private Collections and Metals sections are displayed in a gallery-style scroller, while jewelry items in other categories are shown in a conventional tabular layout. Photography was managed by the client using a digital SLR fitted with a macro lens and a specially constructed lightbox; the quality is generally very good.

VD & Family (Re-coded: Feb 2016)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Custom-design CMS

Manage photography on location

In 2011 we were asked to design a website for VD & Family, Thailand's première designer, manufacturer and exporter of artificial flowers. The company operates from premises in northern Bangkok and wholesales to agents worldwide, many of whom place orders worth tens of thousands of dollars. The company is a member of Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion and frequent exhibitor at regional trade fairs.

The first website we made for them was simple, colorful and functional. In November 2016 we improved the content management system, added extra functionality and re-designed the interface so it would adapt seamlessly to tablets and smartphones.

Department of Highways (2011 / 2012)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Custom-design CMS

Develop XML databases to comply with MOT policies

Early in 2012 I was asked to design a Thai-language website for a provincial office of Thailand's Department of Highways, a division of the Ministry of Transport (MOT) in Bangkok. The finished website was online for just over three years, and then replaced when the MOT insisted that provincial sites only use design templates issued by central government.

This website is now quite old-fashioned, but nonetheless colorful and interesting. The link below points to the home page, re-produced on my own server.

Austro-Pro (2012)

Design (wireframes and mock-ups), coding and programming

Manage home page photography and post processing

Austro-Pro is Thailand's leading supplier of bakery products. The company operates from a purpose-built bakery in Bangkok's northern suburbs and every morning delivers a range of breads, croissants and breakfast items to some of the city's finest hotels and restaurants. In 2016 the company opened a branch in Phuket and forged a lucrative contract with BITEC (Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center).

The home page slideshow is notable in that it features a series of high quality black and white photos shot with an ultra-wide angle lens. The distortion in all images is visible, but nicely-controlled and appealing. In 2015 I re-coded the site to make it adapt to smartphones and tablets.
