Beautiful mansion, especially for photos.
However feels like I didn't learn much about the history of George town.
Just feels like a place to take pretty pictures only.
Many artefacts on display but no explanation was given for what they are, what they represent, or what story they tell.
Perhaps we would have had a better experience if we had the guide which other reviews mention.
The museum has an extensive collection of items, just wish I knew what any of it was.
Very pretty mansion, not much historical value but incredibly well decorated.
This is a fairly new museum in Clarke Street, George Town.
Some collections are extensively documented, while smaller collections of Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco furniture, lamps and dining ensembles have no documentation at all.
It's housed in an attractive building dating back to 1897 and located in Clarke Street – roughly a ten-minute walk from the tourist ghettos around Chulia Street and Love Lane.
